A Quick Look at the Fightlite Industries SCR and Defensive Training

Hello again, STEEMit! I am Not Ur Average and tonight I'm sharing a short video I put together, not too long ago, of my Defensive Carbine Course training by DefTech Academy and using the Fightlite Industries SCR (formerly known as Ares Defense).

The Fightlite Industries SCR is a 50 State legal featureless semi-automatic rifle based on the AR platform. It uses a proprietary lower receiver and trigger, shotgun stock, but will accept any standard AR upper receiver. It comes chambered in 5.56 NATO (but even a .300 Blackout Upper worked flawlessly). I bought the rifle new and off the shelf two years ago for around $900 as there weren't many good NY compliant to choose from, but I love this rifle. I've seen them recently priced below or just over $700 and it makes for a much better rifle than the Mini 14.

The purpose of the video is to show how a rifle, like the SCR, can be used in defensive shooting and tactics. Anyone can spend $2,000 on an great rifle, but if you spend $1,000 on a good rifle and the other $1,000 on great training you will be much better off.
