The danger of riches: But as for the rich, their abundance permits them no sleep. Ecclesiastes 5:12

The bible explains that material wealth plays in two ways, for better or for worse, for edification or for destruction; according to the path we choose in life: "For the LORD watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked leads to destruction", Psalm 1:6.
When wealth is not based on the fear of God but on greed, it is when we have an unfortunate wealth, the Bible tells us what happens when that occurs, this is the danger of riches:
"Whoever loves money never has enough;
whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with their income.
This too is meaningless.
As goods increase,
so do those who consume them.
And what benefit are they to the owners
except to feast their eyes on them?
The sleep of a laborer is sweet,
whether they eat little or much
but as for the rich, their abundance
permits them no sleep.
I have seen a grievous evil under the sun:
wealth hoarded to the harm of its owners,
or wealth lost through some misfortune,
so that when they have children
there is nothing left for them to inherit.
Everyone comes naked from their mother's womb,
and as everyone comes, so they depart.", Ecclesiastes 5:10-15.

The spiritual gift of fear of God (constancy, firmness, devotion, equanimity, stability) is the beginning of the sensible, good, beautiful and happy life; because the fear of God is always accompanied by wisdom (knowledge coupled with precision and accuracy): "How much better to get wisdom than gold, to get insight rather than silver!.", Proverbs 16:16; "Wisdom is a shelter as money is a shelter, but the advantage of knowledge is this: Wisdom preserves those who have it.", Ecclesiastes 7:12.
Man must live with contentment, explains to us the biblical wisdom: "Moreover, when God gives someone wealth and possessions, and the ability to enjoy them, to accept their lot and be happy in their toil—this is a gift of God. They seldom reflect on the days of their life, because God keeps them occupied with gladness of heart.", Ecclesiastes 5:19-20.
