Completely revised the HUD!

  • All of the different bars for health, megahealth, armor and mega armor have been consolidated down to one visual display.
  • Items with cooldowns now have an improved visual display.
  • Removed weapon cooldown flash.
  • Moved weapon magazine numbers to a more visible location.
  • Experience point bar greatly simplified and placed at the bottom of screen.

Still a work in progress but this should be a pretty good step in the right direction. I also plan to add customizable options soon like being able to disable enemy health bars and floating text ect.

Floating damage numbers display how effective an attack is.

( Plans to disable floating text will come after I am done with full art pass on existing levels )

Projectiles, attacks and movement changes.

  • Enemies now do a subtle flash before they are about to attack you.
    If you are looking for it you will know slightly ahead of time that an attack is coming.
  • Player movement acceleration increased.
  • Very slightly reduced enemy projectile speed.

The goal of these changes are to address the difficulty of dodging enemy attacks. These changes will have very likely nerfed the overall difficulty of the game. It is now very possible to avoid being hit pretty much at all if you have the skill to do it. I will release a video of the patch notes overview in a bit to show how these changes will effect the game.

General Changes / fixes

  • Armor regen functionality is now functional again.
    It was completely broken! :X
  • You now have full armor regen when starting in a new area.
  • Easy Helmet now has an equip sound.
  • Grenades now have a glowing effect on them.
  • Assault Rifle Weapon fire kick should now function correctly.
  • Sniper rifle base damage and accuracy improved.
  • Double barrel shotguns now have much more punch.
  • Double barrel shotgun available on intro Vending machine.
  • Limited lives no longer exist on trial missions no matter what difficulty.
