"Choke point" & "Scars" Review of the last episodes of The Walking Dead Season 9th. The season ends in two weeks
Season 9 of The Walking Dead is coming to an end. Missing only 2 episodes more to know the brutal event called the "Red Wedding TWD" I bring you the review of the last 2 episodes transmitted.
Unfortunately last week I could not do the review. However I feel that the events were not very relevant, it is for them that I will take advantage of my own delay and review the last 2 chapters entitled "Chokepoint" and "Scars". If you are a fan of the series and still do not see the episodes, I warn you that this post has Spoilers. But if you want to know how the plot of the series is currently, read on.
“Choke point”
In this episode the whisperers continue to persecute the group formed by Henry, Lydia, Connie and Daryl, with Beta as the new villain in the absence of Alpha. Remembering that we do not know much about Beta, only that he is loyal to Alpha.
On the other hand, in the kingdom other questions are being elucidated, in previous episodes we saw an extra red mark. Many believed that it was the whisperers, but we were wrong. The brand belongs to a group of pirates called The Highwaymen.
They wanted the kingdom to give them supplies and if they did not obey they were not going to allow access to the fair. Carol who is the queen next to Ezekiel proposes that they go to talk with their aggressors. The king doubted this movement, but in the end he accepts and plans a meeting. In this meeting, the Highwaymen are very aggressive and do not want to cooperate. But Carol had an ace up her sleeve, she proposes that instead of threatening because they do not work for the Kingdom. She offered them the supplies they demanded and a quota at the fair in exchange for protecting the roads of the zombies. The Highwaymen did not accept and it was not until Carol asked them a question "how long have you not seen a movie?".
Back with the pursuit of Beta, Connie leads the group to a tall building where she took refuge on previous occasions with her friends. There, Agree with Daryl to create a trap for the Whispers. Taking into account the implications of walking with Lydia, Daryl decides to leave her locked in a closet with Dog. This is because the little whisperer is not able to attack his former group.
As expected, the plan to take the whisperers to a choke point works. Daryl and Beta face each other brutally. Both have two knives with which they challenge themselves to death. Blows above, below, a pretty entertaining fight that surely will give off some screaming accounts of terror. But as expected Beta is defeated with cleverness after being thrown into the vacuum of an elevator. But as expected, Beta remained alive.
Choke point in my opinion is a simple filling to link all the caves around the fair. Considering that the series does not count anymore with the characters of Rick and Carl. Those who were protagonists in all this we see, from the romance with Lydia to the organization of the fair in the history of the comic.
Scars
The chapter broadcast on Sunday night called "Scars" has more or less the same formula as the previous episode. It was basically clarifying doubts that the same series had presented to us since Rick's departure.
We saw Michonne pregnant in the place that Rick apparently disappeared shortly after this happened. Daryl appears and lets him know that he is not there because he has already looked for him in that place and that, in addition, he will never stop doing it. The episode takes place between flashback and the current timeline.
What happens in the narrative of the past is that Michonne opened the doors of Alexandria to an old friend named Jocelyn. Confident to be her friend, Michonne lets her join Alexandria along with her group, consisting mainly of children. They looked good people if they asked me, but we were all wrong.
Jocelyn's group manages to steal Alexandria's supplies and kidnaps Judith and other children from the community. It is at this moment where Michonne's nightmare begins and they move us back to the present where in the same areas of Alexandria the group of Daryl and Connie is coming along with Lydia and Henry who is wounded. Michonne opens the doors to them because she trusts Daryl, but she begins to fall victim to her insecurities reflected in Judith's behavior. Seeing how her mother treats her loved ones, supporting them half-heartedly and without wanting to help them reach the Kingdom.
It was understandable to everyone because Michonne was currently acting in an unsafe manner. Back to the past the pregnant Michonne de R.J is in search of Jocelyn. It must be mentioned that the events were pretty crude. A pregnant woman in search of her other daughter imprisoned and tortured by a woman she trusted in the past but is now a psychopath who manipulates a group of children to commit their assaults. It was the real face of Jocelyn. In these scenes we finally knew why Daryl and Michonne had X-shaped scars on their back sides.
As expected Jocelyn was not going to give up so easily. He orders his group to attack with everything while the rest hid Judith and the other children in a motor home.
Back to the present Judith has just fled and by the time Michonne finds out she panics, even consulting with Negan to discover her daughter's whereabouts. It is at that moment where the past and the present come together to give us one of the best-achieved scenes of season 9 of TWD. In view of past events Michonne has "scars" that marked her for life. The kidnapping of Judith in the past and the fear of losing her traumatized her. And since Judith was missing in the present, Michonne began to experience these fears again.
What happens next is a massacre literally. While in the present Michonne beheaded zombies, in the scenes of the past this one faced the group of children. The play of the scene achieves a terrifying effect, making it clear that all the children were beheaded. While in the present he made his way on the path until he managed to find Judith facing a zombie.
The chapter concludes with some very emotional scenes between mother and daughter. To finish with that Michonne decided to give aid to the group of Daryl that goes to the kingdom and in this way to attend the fair. Culminating the episode a pair of whisperers realizes what is being organized in the kingdom and plans to take the information to Alpha immediately.
No doubt Choke point and Scars were two chapters filled just to justify the ties of all groups of survivors to congregate at the fair. The truth of all is that the last 2 chapters will be the most exciting of the entire season.

A lot of hype about Scars. I'm.glad that how they got the scar wasn't as bad as I thought it might be. Michonne killing those kids may have been traumatic for her but I wasn't that invested in them or Jocelyn... she didn't convince me at all and didn't get why she was such an evil bitch when they used to be friends. Kinda wierd. Can't wait til next week though.
