Revision 2019 and the sublime Amiga demo made by TBL

On the occasion of the Revision 2019 which took place from 19 to 22 April last, the entire international demomakers scene met to spend a friendly moment between coders and other artists, but also to offer their latest productions to an audience fond of this kind of practice. Beyond the classic PC competition, the highlight of the show came from the Amiga section. Although this range of computers has been abandoned in favour of much more efficient machines, the fact remains that the enthusiasm for development around this machine remains more than omnipresent.

And this year we were blessed, with a majority of demos focused this time on original machines, without any modifications. Some performance using 68040 processors and RTG are included in the list, however the ECS and AGA display mode have stolen the spotlight from these much faster devices. But the production that everyone agreed on, was the performance of the band The Black Lotus, which literally gave us a lesson in expertise in programming and artistic sense on Amiga. Called EON, this one runs on a simple Amiga 500, ECS and a 1mb of Ram ! Produced on two floppy disks, this demo is a pure technical gem that simply left me speechless. A great example of control and optimization on a computer that displays more than 30 years on the meter !
