Faithful

I've read a few pieces by folks who have a very complicated idea of God and what they think he wants and what we should be doing.

It's not complicated at all. Everyone that believes in God and even people that don't come to a point in life where they have questions about life, the hardships they experience, a fear of going somewhere bad after life, they have gotten sick and see no medical result, things just don't go right and they feel at a complete loss.

Different things have brought people to God and driven them away from God.

Something I see with believers and non believers alike is how quick people are blame God for what they do not want to take responsibility for. God created us and gave us all we need. Are we so pathetic that He has to live our lives for us to?
He does not lead us astray, He does not make us do anything, we make the wrong decisions which has consequences we don't like and as we don't want to take responsibility we blame our creator.

I lost my father at twelve, broken hip that lead to a burst ulcer and internal bleeding. I lost many aunts, uncles, grandparents, friends and my mom when I was 35 to a massive stroke. All these losses were due to human conditions. Even the ones that died in accidents were due to the human condition. I haven't had an easy life and that mainly due to some bad decisions, lack of help from others which we humans are well known for and my ego and pride.

We are now living in a society in which we have abandoned reason and in which we create excuses for our weaknesses. Children are lost as you cannot make good decisions without guidance and experience, blame the parents not God. Parents blame the government, but who votes for the government and or demand and allow the legislation they pass? We are aggressively denying God and keep bleating about how badly things are spiralling out of control, but we are more set on pleasing misguided people than opening school mornings in prayer, setting rules and good examples for our children, exacting consequence wicked instead of making excuses for their behaviour, we give in to all that is wicked because we are to gutless to face up to our misdeeds and stand our ground and wonder why our world and the future of our children is in jeopardy?

Take responsibility for your weakness and get back to basics. Give it a try and see the good come back into your life and the world around you in no time. God gave us rules to live by to keep us safe, we chose to act against these rules and want to blame Him for what we have done. Don't be a coward.
