Black Eyed Peas X J Balvin RITMO Download and Streaming

What a combination and build up for a much anticipated movie Bad Boys For Life. Black Eyed Peas is back with the Urban Latin musical God, J Balvin to bring you RITMO.

The track is is what a modern day hit is made of, a Reggae ton, Afro electro beat with a Major Laser type breakdown ( though a bit more subtle), a sample from a popular song from the past and an all star cast. “This is the rhythm of the night”.

Thoughts from the artistes and J Balvin

Black Eyed Peas co-founder said, “I wanted to reimagine ‘The Rhythm of the Night’ by Corona and give it a minimal, futurist, afro-fused reggaeton vibe. The final song and video feel like the classic next level futurism that the Black Eyed Peas are all about.”

J Balvin added, “I’ve been a Black Eyed Peas fan for as long as I can remember. They are legends!! and it’s an honor to join them and become part of the sound of Bad Boys for Life.”

My personal thoughts

To me it feels like “a cheesy movie soundtrack”. Don’t get me wrong, people are gonna love it up. And this song with its futuristic Miami music video and clips of the new Bad Boy movie are sure to make anyone feel excited. The RIDDIM itself is nowadays party jam, it is what is trending. But that sample just really killed it for me. I think they could have done something a little bit more unique with the sample or scrapped it all together and saved some money. ( But hey, that is what is gonna carry the song and revive a dance classic, so kudos on that.)

It’s A HIT

With that said, this is gonna be the song that plays when the ball drops and 2020 is being rung in. Why? They have the right formula with the ultimate marketing campaign and did I mention the beat is catchy? This one is gonna grow on you like weeds in a garden as it is being blasted in your ears at the mall, on the radio and from the cars passing by.

Well, at least the Bad Boy song remains the official sound track for the Bad Boys series.

Spot on Milliz! If any of us as aspiring artiste were to try this it would be considered sacrilegious but those 💵 got teeth. The best part of it was the original rhythm of the night. The other parts were good but not a good match in this song IMO.
Btw.. it’s been years that inner circle made that song - they are still milking dat cow. Gimmi a beat and mic

Nice one, and good formatting. I will eventually do a music video review, it's on my to-do list. I think you made a post outlining what you'd like to see in a music video review. Do you have that link?
