Purple Foods can turn you into a Super Human! 

Look at all those delicious purple foods! Did you know they are some of the most important foods you can add to your everyday diet that have a magnitude of benefits to improve your well being. 

I think my favourite out of all the purple foods out there in the world is what is known as the fountain of youth in Japan. The Okinawan sweet potato and yes it is purple!

So what makes these fruits and vegetables that are purple so good for you. Well not only do they full of anti-oxidants but they are also laced with Anthocyanins!  This is the compound that is responsible for the purple color and it's also responsible for the goodness in them! 

Anthocyanins are helpful to enhance your memory they also assist in reducing inflammation! A fun fact and a good reason to get onto the purple sweet potato, cooking them can enhance and increase the levels compared to the raw product!

But one thing you will find out if you dig a little deeper they love their purple sweet potato! 

But, if you live in a place where the purple sweet potato is elusive, make sure you jam pack your diet with other purple goodies like black currents and blueberries! These bad boys will do the exact same thing for you and may just give you a few more years to enjoy this wonderful planet!
