Hello friends, I hope you are well, today searching among so many recipes that I have is especially reminded me many years ago when in Venezuela you got everything and iodine brands, both national and imported.
I remember consuming a lot of energy bars since I have always been very anxious, little by little I stopped buying them and today I have not seen them for sale anymore, at least in the town where I live.
I found it excellent that we can prepare them at home, to our liking, with the nuts that we like the most and even with chocolate, today I am going to share this simple recipe with healthy ingredients.
The basis of this recipe are bananas, which with their sweetness and creaminess will replace the sweetener and will maintain the shape of the bars, without the need to add sugar or eggs.
You will be surprised to notice that from this recipe we obtain super crispy and delicious bars, as well as being healthy and prepared very easily so you can always have them handy for a quick breakfast or a snack in the afternoon.
- 2 large, well-ripe bananas
- 1 Teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups oat flakes
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup chopped dates without pit
- 1/4 cup walnuts
Heat the oven to medium heat and oil a square baking sheet with oil or butter, peel the bananas and squash them with a fork in a medium bowl, making a very liquid puree add the vanilla essence, the oats, the salt, the dates and the nuts. Integrate all ingredients well, take the mixture to the tray and distribute it evenly. Sprinkle cinnamon on top and bake for 30 minutes or until edges begin to appear crispy. Once ready let cool and then cut into bars.
