We can freeze the flirty but when it comes to frying the croquettes we must first differentiate if they are fresh or frozen, since the fresh ones will be made more quickly, if you are going to make frozen croquettes, you do not need to put them to thaw previously. You can leave them for a while outside so that their temperature increases but it is not necessary to thaw them.

Ingredients:

For the filling:

  • 2 tablespoons of butter (or olive oil)
  • 5 tablespoons of flour
  • 1 liter of milk
  • 500 grams spinach
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 hard boiled eggs
  • Nutmeg (optional)

  • Eggs
  • Bread crumbs

Preparation:

First of all before you start, choose a saucepan or a non-stick pan with which you have cooked and you know that it does not hit, prepare hard boiled eggs, when you have them cooked and you have been able to peel them in small cubes and reserve them. Now we are going to prepare the bechamel, for this we are going to put oil or butter in the saucepan, when it is hot add the flour and let it take a little color but without preventing it from burning, then add the milk little by little, When you see that it is consumed you add more in this way, we undo the lumps that may have arisen and we do not stop stirring gently but steadily. Once we have more or less made the béchamel in quantity, add the spinach (clean and chopped if they are fresh, thawed and well drained if they are frozen). You will see how little by little the color of the bechamel changes to a more yellowish one. Add the previously chopped egg and continue stirring, try the amount of salt, place milk if you need it until you see that the béchamel has lost the flavor of flour or milk. Also, if you like nutmeg it is time to add a little (care that has a very strong flavor). Pour the dough into a flat, preferably even container to make it easier to work and let it cool to solidify and make it easier to work. To shape the croquettes, you only need one plate with beaten egg and another with bread crumbs. Help yourself to a spoon or two, you can shape it with your hands until you make all the croquettes equal. Once you have all the croquettes placed on a new flat container enter these in the freezer or fry them if you are going to eat them at that time
