Intermittent Fasting Works!

On January 1st, 2018 I opted to trying Intermittent Fasting as a means to increase recover-ability for my workouts as well as the other many benefits of normal fasting. Today is day 35 and I am very happy with the results so far! Since I started I have lost 9 lbs of body fat and gained 1.5 lbs of muscle along with better sleep patterns and an overall sense of well being.

My awareness has increased as well and I am better able to control/limit my thoughts during daily meditation practices. I was only going to try it for a month but since I have had great results I am going to continue until the benefits start to fall off.

I highly recommend it to anyone that wants to regain their health and wellness. Now I know it is not for everyone and it was fairly easy for me to convert my diet since I eat only raw, organic uncooked food anyway. The good news is that anyone can do it with what ever current diet they are on.

The simple math for the whole process is to not eat for 16 straight hours every day and then you can eat for the other 8 hours of your day. Pretty simple huh? I am doing an extreme variation where I eat only once per day but my meal consists of approximately 1200 calories from raw juice which is then put into a blender with nuts, seeds, avocado, banana and kale. My secret weapon for making it taste delicious is to add raw organic cacao nibs to the blend which makes the whole thing taste like a chocolate shake.
