FBI Gets Involved After Cryptocurrency Ransomware Attack Paralyzes Baltimore City
The City of Baltimore was hit with ransomware.
Earlier in the week, the city's computers were locked up. The demand was placed at 3 bitcoin per computer. The total to unlock the entire system was $86,000.
The hackers said not to notify the authorities. The entire system was taken down and scrubbed clean. Unfortunately, the ransonware persists.
Now we see the FBI involved.
