My Tasty Tuesday competition entry - potato, carrot and bacon stew
lately, I needed to cook some food at home to save money. So I decided to try boiling the potato and carrot with butter first. After 20 minutes, I throw in the bacon and boil another 10 to 15 minutes until not much water left in the pan only than i off the fire and eat it.
I got this idea from reading about WW1 when Germany is having a food shortage. During the late ww1 period, the army cook stew instead as meat is getting harder to find.
Here is my recipe: 2 potato, 1 carrot, 1 tablespoon of butter and 100~150 gram of bacon.
I eat this for my dinner.
