Best ICO 2018? Quarkchain project.
It has been all over the "Crypto World" and definitely sparked my interest.
Quarkchain is very promising project coming up soon. So what is it?
First of all I wanted to know what the word "quark" means and this is what came up while researching : "A quark is one of the fundamental particles in physics. They join to form hadrons, such as protons and neutrons, which are components of the nuclei of atoms. The study of quarks and the interactions between them through the strong force is called particle physics..."
Could Quarkchain be the fundamental project solving negatives of older project such as Ethereum? It certainly looks like it and here is why.
Scalability issues - Quarkchain promises at least 1.000.000 transactions per second. WOW! That is nothing but MASSIVE! To compare with our dinosaur -Bitcoin- with 4 transaction or Ethereum 20 transaction seems like a joke.
How is that possible? Quarkchain is coming with 2 layer blockchain - root chain and side chains with elastic sharding.
This could finally lead to main stream adoption without network clogging.
Yes scalability is important, but what about security? By implementing market-driven collaborative mining where hash power is evenly distributed between shards and at the same time majority(at least 50%) of all hash power stay on the root chain.
Because of these two layers and it's 50% hash power allocation on the root chain, Quarkchain is more decentralised than single layer blockchain. More "small" players(like me) can have nodes and be active part the scalability process. No need for a massive mining farms!

STOPI find it interesting, the speed is a big strong, projects like this are worth it, let's hope and not with the intention of being negative that does not remain only in project, we lack initiatives like this, luck
