Quality is key.

Don't post ridiculously many posts per day, all of which are bad. Write a post, and then rewrite it. Plan what you want to say first, and ensure some structure is in your blog. If you rewrite a post 5 times, then it will obviously be a more enjoyable read. A readable post is much more likely to get an upvote. A bad post, plagiarised from the web and using unattributed images, is likely to attract downvotes. Quality is key.
