Continuando a série de Comemorativos Modernos Americanos, mostraremos hoje o 1991-1995 "World War II" gradada pela PCGS PR70 DCAM.
Todas as moedas pesam 26,73g com 90% de pureza de prata. Foram emitidas com acabamento Proof e Brilliant Uncirculated.
Elas serão apresentadas na ordem em que foram cunhadas.
Esta moeda foi emitida em 1993 para comemorar o quinquagésimo aniversário do envolvimento dos Estados Unidos na Segunda Guerra Mundial, de 1941 a 1945.
Seu obverso mostra um soldado americano nas praias da Normandia em 6 de junho de 1944, o Dia-D.
No reverso vemos uma citação de Dwight D. Eisenhower, com uma insignia do Quartel General das Forças Expedicionárias Aliadas.
Foram emitidas 342,041 moedas em West Point. O preço de lançamento foi de U$31,00 e o preço atual é cerca de U$350,00 neste grau.

É bem possível, já que foi muito documentado este desembarque e eles poderiam se basear em algo real na hora de fazer o desenho da moeda.
