Smartphones quickly captured our world. Psychiatrists believe that the epidemic of a new disease has begun in the world. It was called "nomophobia" (from English no-mobile-phone phobia, that is, "fear of the absence of a mobile phone"). Victims of this disease can be found almost everywhere: in the subway, cafe, in the park, shopping center, on the street. They, like zombies, constantly look at their smartphone and enthusiastically dial messages on social networks.

Doctors are serious about nomophobia. A share is held once a year "Day without a mobile phone." All cellular users were asked to turn off their mobile phone for the day. Well, at least reduce the number of conversations.

Doctors believe that nomophobia is inherently akin to other addictions like alcoholism, drug addiction, gambling or shopaholism. In the case of a telephone, a person who does not think about an hour of life without him also compensates for personal problems, for example, inability to get in touch with other people. For information that according to statistics, 66% of smartphone owners suffer from this disease.

They are sure that this is only an inoffensive habit, although its impact on the everyday life of nomophobe is quite significant.

Is it bad to hang around in a smartphone?

This is not good or bad, it's natural. No other way and can not happen. The younger generation will be the same. Moreover, parents themselves buy smartphones for their children. This is a trend.

You decide for yourself whether you want to spend time on smarphon. As noted in the experiments on the rejection of gadgets for a couple of days, after a panic attack comes relief. As if you were released from the cage.

Try at least for the weekend to turn off the Internet on the gadget and not touch the smartphone. Can you do it?

Watch out, zombies are around.

Hey Franklin,

LOL, these zombies made my day.
But I see same every day.
Using the tube a lot, I realised that you feel strange when you are the only one not fleeing in privacy by using the phone instead of taking the risk to cross the others eyes.

Anyways I will continue to stand out oft he crowd ;-)

Hi @be-a-better-you
I'm glad that you liked it :)
I also notice it every day. Especially when a shy person looks into their smartphone in order not to intersect with the people around.
I've seen cases when people got into ridiculous situations when they looked at their smartphone while they were walking.

Indeed :-)
Seems to be really bad in Korean schools by now.
But that’s not proven by myself

You are from Korea?
