2 MONTHS ON STEEMIT: THREE MEET-UPS AND THE BIRTH OF YES-MOVEMENT

INTRODUCTION
I joined Steemit exactly on the 4th of January, 2018 after my best friend and mentor invited me - @ilukzymoore. We joined the same day and we have successfully helped each other grow on this platform. I have learnt over the months that Steemit is a community of different people connecting together to become friends as we post and earn. My first testimony here was conducting successful meetup at Department of Computer Engineering, Oduduwa University, Osun State, details can be found here. Another testimony happened on the 29th of January, 2018 when i got a late message i had to register for an online course before 12 midnight, it was the SBD i sold that saved me and i was able to register on time. To be candid, i have personally made over N100,000 ($300) since i joined two months ago. Steemit is and has been a blessing to me.

MEET-UPS: Conducting 2 and Attending One
The first month i joined, i discovered the need to spread the Gospel of Steemit to people around me. I conducted a mini-meetup at my University community. Secondly, I and @ilukzymoore conducted another meetup at Ejigbo, Lagos State to talk about Steemit again, check details here. The third meetup i was a part of was the Ibadan Meetup which had in attendance great Nigerians coming together to lecture, meet and socialize. It was the best meetup, having the likes of @ejemai, @tojukaka, @ehiboss, @ewuoso, @gloglo, @samstickkz taking turns to talk on crucial topics about Steemit and cryptocurrency. I always tell every newbie i know that one of the key factors to succeed here is socializing and the best way is through meetups.

The Birth of Yes-Movement
I made a post two months ago: Have You Talked To Someone About Steemit Today?, writing about the need for meetups. The post fetched me the highest payout and brought the idea of the Yes-Movement- this is a movement to encourage existing Steemians to talk daily to at least a person about Steemit and benefits of joining.
