Blogging As A Steemian Can Only Get Better: The Steemit Future Starts Now.

A blog is where information are shared and you get to be paid through the number of views and reads you get from your readers. To me blogging goes beyond getting paid, it is a way of sharing information and thought about things and topics you are passionate about, meanwhile; steemit is a decentralized platform where you are paid to post quality content and add value to steem which is the crypto-currency used in rewarding you for the posts you make (this is my simplest way of defining steemit). Steemit is known as where you register, blog and earn.

I have sat down to think so hard the benefit one stand to get when handling a personal blog and that of steemit. Years ago a young lady from Nigeria Linda Ikeji was among those that started blogging and made it big here in Nigeria and ever since then the youths mostly especially have been all over with blogs and some online businesses.

It got to a stage to open a blog was a lot of money because the rush was too much and so it was an avenue for some web designers to make money and so the fee to open a blog was so high. But all the same people did not relent, some went ahead to open a free blog and I was not left out.

Not until I got into steemit and after some months of blogging here I am able to ask myself some questions and somehow I think I got some answers to some of them. These questions go thus:

• What is in free/personal blog website that is not on steemit?
• What do I hope to achieve as a blogger that I have not been able to achieve here on steemit?
• What traffic or audience do I hope to make that I don’t find here?

Some months back I could say I was so dependent on my family financially but right now am a self-reliable and sufficient young lady who gets paid for impacting, sharing useful informative and quality content.

In the issue of traffics and readers for a new and young blogger who is starting with a personal blog website, I must say it is really hard to get noticed and build a traffic because they are not there, it is something you need to work so hard to get and at the end of the day you might go without anything no matter the kind of content you make because everyone wants to read from the big blogs. Everyone wants to affiliate with the big names and then you are neglected simply because you are not yet a big name but here on steemit your content is valued because you are important because you are a miner, big or not we all are miners and investors and so everyone is taken seriously.

Anybody can afford not to pay you much attention out there but here you are given maximum attention because that attention brings value to steem. Here on steemit I discovered that the traffic is already- made and you do not have to work so hard to get it but what you are required is quality content.

You and I makes steemit function so we decide what we want.

If you have noticed that in steemit you decide what you want and not the other way round in the sense that you make yourself what ever thing you want to get out of here. I said this because all you need is to find that special thing that is unique about you and your passion and let people see unlike out there where you have to change almost everything about you in other to get audience and at the end of the day you loss your essence. It is different here on steemit, the only thing that is required of you is to interact well with the community and find what you can do to add value to the platform.

Having the right orientation about steemit

Steemit is not a get-rich quick platform which is one thing every person who has this platform at heart will say to anyone and which is the truth. So on here when people get in with the wrong mindset they find themselves losing out and getting nothing and then it looks like they are not being given much attention.

Just like in any community in real life, for it to grow and flourish the occupants and habitats of that community have to make sure that every threat is taken off and anything that will bring the name of the community to mud is cut off; that is how steemit is and that is why there are different people who are there to caution every activity here about spam, scam, plagiarism and copy and paste. So that they would not bring our dear community steemit down and devalue it for those who love it and want to remain in it.

Therefore, just like every community steemit has set its dos and don’ts for the smooth running and good use of the community.

Promote steemit where ever you are because we all stand to gain.

How can you promote steemit? There are various ways of doing this and the number one is by getting more people on here, but the others ways is by encouraging the newbies and setting examples for them to post quality contents which is a means of adding value to steem; according to the interview and talk of @starkerz by @tomasgorge and @ashleypeat at steemfest2 at Lisbon it is only agreeable that we help orient the newbies to keep posting quality contents and reward those that struggle to make quality and informative contents too.

I agree very much with him because no investor wants to run at loss so the only way which he has done well is to encourage and support contents that add values and not devalue the platform and leaving steem in shambles.

He @starkerz has also mentioned and encouraged that whales should continue to vote for the young bloggers. This is correct for those who are trying hard to put meaningful post and not guilty of plagiarism, spam and scam because in them lies the future of the platform. When quality contents are not duly rewarded this would discourage the upcoming and when they do not have any reason to stay then what will be upvoted by the whales and how would steemit continue to create and make the difference in the world.

Steemit is our hope and in it we have found love.

Steemit has been the source of income for many and all over the world it has been one testimony or another. It is also a place where you share your thoughts, how you feel even when you can not walk up to someone to say anything about how you feel. It is so many things to so many people and that is where life is. We can only dwell in the love for which we feel for one another here through interacting, making friends and sharing ideas. Steemit is the new gold and it remains a gift of a life time because the people on it are genuine people who are after the good of mankind and not after selfish interests just like every ponzi scheme and that is where steemit remains different from the rest.

Through interacting with people knowledge has been gained and shared and just like that we grow into a community that is unbreakable and unshakable. However, if you can promote steemit please do not hesitate and do not stop being original because that is what matters.
