HIGHLIGHTS AND RECAP OF STEEMIT IN NIGERIA (SIN2)
Hi everyone, The week that just passed was a very important one for steemians in Africa, as Nigeria held the second edition of the steemit In Nigeria yearly conference in the country's capital- Abuja- #SIN2
The 5-day event attracted attendees from all parts of the country (Nigeria) and also foreign participants. It was a very colorful event getting to meet the faces behind the usernames on the steem blockchain.
During the conference, I was fortuned to interact with different great personalities.
One of the great personalities worthy of mention is the CEO of @wafrica. He goes by the username @surfyogi. He joined the steem blockchain about a year ago when he decided to look way for an alternative means to invest in US dollars and real estates. He has been a great impact towards the Nigerian Communities in form of financial and moral support.
I admired his zeal to take steem to every nook and cranny of the earth.
Another great personality I met is @maryfavour of @redfishpillar who introduced the concept of Friday Foodies on the steem blockchain for newbies to participate where they were required to give a title for their original food/beverage, List the ingredientsused, describe the steps of preparation, include photos of key preparation. She was so much fun to be around in ‘real life’ as we talked about so many interesting online and offline events!
