Becoming More Venturesome
Right from the ancient times, victory usually comes to the brave hearted. As they say, "Fortune favors the brave." There's a great need to become more venturesome as a person, if you want to accomplish great things in life.
The fact is that most people are afraid of risks, and adventures. And that's why most people just exist, they're not even living. Because playing it too safe, tends to lead to a life of mediocrity. You need to become more venturesome.
Great investors have been known to love risks. But they don't just go around, taking stupid and uncalculated risks. They take good amount of time to do their research on the business or investment that they want to take the risk on - and then they dive in.
Fear causes people to lose opportunities. And usually when they realize it, it's already too late. If you've noticed, in the markets - the majority of people never buy when the price is low, because it's risky. They wait until the price is high, and that's when they buy - and that's the wrong approach.
But as you probably know, the investors who take the risks; and are venturesome enough to buy when the price is low, are the people who sell when the price is high and make lots of profits. Fortune tends to always favor the brave.
