Working Towards Success [Part 2]
Nothing works on its own
The above statement was made by one of my friends and mentor. This statement also applies in the area of success. That is, for something to work (and that includes success), there is something or someone working it out. From the first part, we looked at the tips to implement in order to achieve success. We have considered the fact that you need to work and you also need to keep trying even in the midst of what people may call "failure". Let us take a look at more tips to apply so as to achieve success.
1. Having a positive mentality
Most of the things that happen to people are results from what they think and their mentality because it has ways of influencing their actions and then will bring about certain results. It is from the abundance of someone's mentality that actions will proceed. If someone has a positive mentality, it will show in how they act because their actions will be positively inclined. In the same way, if someone has a negative mentality, it will lead to negatively inclined actions. So whatever you want your actions and the resultant effects to be, then you have to make it your dominant thought.
If someone keeps thinking failure, it will discourage the person from taking any action and it will eventually lead to the person's failure. They failed, not because the odds were against them but their negative mentality beclouded their actions and they either stayed inactive or performed negatively inclined actions. However, when you are positively minded, it will be complemented by a positive action and at the end, there will be a positive result. Successful people see the potential result even before attempting the action and this will motivate them not to take "no" for an answer.
What becomes of any one is basically what their dominant thought is. The mind, to a considerably large extent, influences other parts of the body including our willingness to undertake actions. So you have to condition your mind to be in your favour by thinking only positive and success-oriented thoughts. Your thoughts should not be as a result of what is happening around you nor as a result of what the situation may suggest but it should be based on what you want to see.
2. Take full responsibility for your life and your success
The actualization of your success rests entirely on your shoulders and you must take responsibilities for it. It is true that people might help you at some points and some external aids may locate you but it is worthy to note that your success is primarily dependent on you - your actions, decisions, choices, inactions, etc, so you owe yourself a duty to take the responsibility and give success all it takes. When you understand that your current position and your present moment is basically a result of your past choices, you will careful with today's choices so that they will not affect your tomorrow negatively.
The major reason why many people repeat the same mistake that they made in the past and still get the same negative result as they did in the past is because they did not take full responsibilities for their choices and their actions. Each time you look for someone or something to blame for a wrong action that you took, you will not learn anything from it and you have the propensity to repeat the same mistake again. It is true that you may not be immune to errors but you do not have to give excuses for them or trade blames but you need to acknowledge them and then learn from them.
You may not be able to choose what happens or what someone else does but you have the choice of how to react to it. The same situation that you are facing is not exclusively preserved for you alone, there are others in the same situation and are still pressing towards success. So you see, success is not a result of conditions being perfect but how you have responded to the Imperfect conditions and your actions.
Thanks for reading

I love the second point even more, regularly looking for someone to blame for terrible conditions is the display of being extremely weak. If you do not step up your game and take charge of your life, progress may never be experienced. Thank you for the post.
Nicely said. Instead of looking for someone to blame, you need to take the responsibility to become better.
Thanks for coming around
hello @samminator,
much of success has to do with the way we react to difficulties, on the one hand we can find the hidden value in the problem to learn from that experience or on the other hand we can believe that we are victims and thus lose control of our lives. the success of a person can be measured by the commitment that this has to the fulfillment of their goals, a popular saying says "what happens happens to us all, the difference is that not all react the same".
Greetings @samminador thinking positive gives us a different view of life, the same produces results at the body, emotional level which is reflected in our actions. Undoubtedly thinking positive does not allow us to approach and solve problem in a proper way hence we must be intentional in seeing life in a positive way.
Regards
That's right. Positive action results from positive thought and it gives us a better view of the world.
Thanks Buddy
Many people do not figure that a positive mentality plays a massive role in becoming successful. Because thoughts causes actions, and actions bring about results. Thus, if a person wants to change his results, he first has to change his thoughts. Nice read. Thanks for sharing buddy!
Excellently said. To be able to change one's actions, he has to change his thoughts.
Thanks buddy
Yes i agree with you with this line nothing works by its own. We need to work hard to get the desired goal in life.
Success come to those who work hard in their life and always ready to do anything in life. We need to check the opportunity and grasp as soon as possible.
hello @samminador
Excellent post as always. In order to be successful in life we must be consistent and as you mention have a mindset and disposition to achieve success, so that we can face any obstacle that comes our way .
thank you very much for sharing your publication
Yes brother, people are stagnant because they fear failure, only few have been able to tap into the knowledge that we fail to succeed. Failure is a revealer of how something shouldn't be done. So when we fail, we try a better way.
In life you become what you think and say(be positive). No one ever becomes better that their though or impression of themselves.
I have seen a lot of people who failed to take up responsibility because they believe there are some certain people that should take care of them or provide for them.
We all have the power to work out our own success.
