I see it being absorbed slowly by SMT like apps that monetize engagement. Soon, the users of these (e.g. browser add-ons) accounts will make twitter just a background platform. Just imagine twitter without any leverage over user data- it just gets a cut as a meeting place like an online coffee shop.
