Unfortunately, at the local level, there are not enough laws to control the invasion of natural areas by people and the few that exist are not enforced, since corruption allows everything, as long as it makes them money. The problem in the south of the lake is identical to what happened in Vargas in 1999, nature reclaims the invaded spaces. The same happens in the Sierra de Perija and other areas, which in the end are treated by the local and regional governments as an occasional incident, even though it happens every year and sometimes even more often.
