Presentation is a formal event that make use of audio-visual aid to give information , persuade the audience to act and creat goodwill. it should be well organized, have a subject matter that correspond with it objectives.

Characteristics of effective presentation

1 . The presentation ideas should fit your audience and their interest should be considered when planning the presentation.
2 . a good presentation should be brief and we'll details as much as possible. it should focus on the topic and not move off-track
3 . it should have the power to pass the right and required information to the audience.
4 . the presenter of the presentation should be calm and relaxed as much as possible and focus on passing the information and positive body language should be used.
5 . the presenter should try to face the audience and not the screen, he/she should not block the veiw and the room light should be turn on to prevent audience from falling asleep.
6 . everything the speaker want to say should be planned before the D-Day. i.e rehearse and practice the presentation.
7 . the presenter should give room for questions and answers it as honest as possible.
8 . at the end of the presentation summary should be given.
9 . the presenter must be able to maintain the audience interest through out the presentation with the use of positive quote, humour and remarkable fact.

Things we do that makes our presentation bad.

1 . not preparing for the presentation well.
2 . not knowing the venue before hand hence we waste alot of time familiarizing ourselves with the venue
3 . forgetting the need of our audience
4 . using unclear language
5 . using poor slide or PowerPoint
6 . speaking fast hence our audience miss the important information.
7 . spending all the time looking at our note, screen ceiling or floor and avoiding eye contact with our audience.

Advantage of good presentation

1 . it gives the presenter a sense of fulfilment.
2 . the right information, ideas and thought is pass to the audience
3 . with good presentation a presenter can guess likely questions to be asked by audience and work towards it.
4 . with good presentation a company can show it leadership skills.
