Fall of JT 610 Lion Air

Airlines in Indonesia are grieving again with the fall of Lion Air aircraft type B737-8 Max with flight number JT 610 on Monday (10/29/2018) at 6.33 WIB.

The Lion Air JT 610 plane departs at 6:20 a.m. the destination of Soekarno Hatta Airport - Pangkal Pinang is lost contact at 06.33 WIB. Before losing contact, the plane had requested permission to return to the Soekarno Hatta Airport runway. But the plane didn't come back.

According to the National Transportation Safety Commission, Lion Air JT 610 aircraft carried 178 adult passengers, 1 child and 2 babies. While from the aircraft crew there were 7 people. Between 1 pilot, 1 copilot and 5 cabin crew.

AirNav Indonesia Public Relations Manager, John Harry Sirait said, the Lion Air JT 610 should fly at an altitude of 15 thousand to 20 thousand feet, but it flew too low at 2,500 to 3,000 feet.
