This was kind of a demo session for photo purposes. It was getting dark outside, and the artificial light wasn't great for working (or photographs) - which might account somewhat for the look of concentration :)
This particular village is very popular with tourists from Ha Noi. Most of the weaving is done during the day (with better light) - I think half the time they are making stuff for tourists, but they also make the traditional clothing like in these photos:

Those mechanical weaving machines are deceptive - gotta keep your eye on them...I got whacked by one whilst taking photos at a place near Ha Noi 😣
