My Niece Poses Like a Pro

When my niece was younger, she was the apple of our eyes. She was the first grandchild, first niece, first baby of the fanily and the entire house was filled with happiness because of her.

The house was filled with laughter because of her.

She was also our main subject especially in photography. We take photos of her randomly, may it be when we are just inside the house or outside.

Even during travels.

We take photos of her anywhere, everywhere.

She was around three or four years old when I took these photos. They are precious to me as she was our bright little star.

We couldn't get enough of her.

Now, she has grown up, she no longer that talkative little girl I used to carry with me when she cries.

Baby Zaila no more.

She is now in her first grade in one of the Filipino schools in the United Arab Emirates. It's been almost four long years since we last saw each other personally.

Of course she knows me.

Zaila is now becoming shy compared to those days when I ask her to pose and she does it right away.

Now, she won't even look at the camera during video calls. She has changed.

I always look forward to seeing her that sometimes I want to book a ticket to Dubai.

Oh how I miss her. Her Ninong misses her too.
