The first modular robot

The Chinese company Direct Drivetech has just launched the D1, which promises to mark a new era in modern robotics. Billed as the first fully modular robo that makes use of built-in intelligence, D1 is capable of automatically assembling and disassembling as needed.
When assembled, the D1 offers extreme stability and a load capacity of up to 100 kg in four-wheeled travel mode, in addition to 80 kg in stationary mode, when separated, each module gains individual mobility and range, allowing parallel missions and greater operational versatility.
