PROF. IHONVBERE BEGINS THE CONSTRUCTION OF A BLOCK OF TWO (2) CLASSROOMS AT EDESEME PRIMARY SCHOOL, UKHUSE-OSI AND THE DRILLING OF A MOTORIZED BOREHOLE AT AWEKA PRIMARY SCHOOL, IVBIUGHURU-IULEHA BOTH IN OWAN WEST LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA, EDO STATE.*
In the face of the ongoing global COVID-19 pandemic, the basic needs of the lives of Owan people, have not been left in the lurch as Prof. Julius Ihonvbere has consistently showed his unrelenting efforts geared towards improving the welfare of his constituents.
Following the promise to provide a well equipped and conducive learning environment for pupils and teachers of EDESEME PRIMARY SCHOOL, Ukhuse-Osi in Owan West Local Government Area of Edo State, the Member representing Owan Federal Constituency, Rep. Prof. Julius O. Ihonvbere OON, has initiated the construction of a block of two (2) classrooms with office, store and supply of solar powered panels with batteries and furniture for pupils, teachers and headmaster of the School.
The Lawmaker, noted that the completion of the School project, will avail pupils and teachers, a perfect study environment which is a show of his passion in promoting quality education and commitment to the wellbeing of the good people of Owan Federal Constituency.
In another development, succor has come the way of residents of Ivbiughuru-Iuleha community in Owan West Local Government, as Prof. Ihonvbere kick starts the drilling of a motorized borehole at AWEKA PRIMARY SCHOOL to end the perennial search for portable drinking water thus terminating their age long water scarcity challenge.
The project which is designed to provide portable drinking water for pupils, teachers as well as the community residents in the area, will save residents from the consumption of contaminated water, which has exposed majority of them to various water-borne diseases.
To this end, Prof. Ihonvbere, urged residents around locations were projects are cited, to show ownership by providing all necessary support to contractors/engineers towards the actualization of the project.
He also maintained that, he will continue to work towards adding value to the lives of the OWAN people who gave him the mandate to represent them.
