Petition for ending the Gaza massacre

I think this is the first time I have ever seen Avaaz put out such a strong petition on the Israel Palestine situation. I am sure that they thought about it long and hard. They say that over 80% of their members approve. Does all this mark some sort of turning point?

I've been critical of Avaaz recently because they have been promoting the white helmets who are a propaganda outfit working for regime change in Syria, something that no sane person should want since the alternatives to the secular Assad government are just horrible.

This petition is slightly related in that its also on a very touchy subject. But good for them to be taking a stand. Avaaz is careful to point out here that in their managerial group they have many Jews who presumably have had enough.

I wonder how much more Jews are in some other countries who feel the same. I know it's painful for many beautiful and caring people but not as painful as it is for the poor folks of Gaza and the West Bank.
