Is a Catalonia (Spain) coming to your neighborhood?
The events of Catalonia Spain are just the tip of the ice berg. We will start to see massive global unrest as many more financial crisis's erupt. Anyone reading my posts knows by now, that the global debt is and has been out of control for decades. Wait until peoples pensions are cut or completely disappear, you will see untold civil unrest. Let me ask you this? What does a 60 or 70 year old man have to loose if you take away his pension? He can not turn the clock back and work another 40+ years by starting over. He knows his life's work and savings have just been stolen from him. He will retaliate like a cornered wild animal. You will see him unleash all hell on earth, for he has nothing else to loose.
Currently there are 7 regions just in Europe that also want secession from their parent nation (Flanders, Scotland, Faroe Islands, Corsica, New Caledonia, Lombardy and Veneto). The trend is growing world wide. Here is the reason. If a country is overspending and overprinting their currency and you are a region that is producing and being over taxed, why wouldn't you want to leave. From that region's perspective, they are paying most of the bills but not receiving proportional benefits in return. Political unrest is an inevitable consequence of government miss management (over spending) and corruption.
In the United States, we will see more and more movements for states to secede from the Federal Union. I am sure, much like Catalonia experienced with Spain's National police, the Nation states will send in their police to violently force allegiance. This is also why Nations fear crypto currencies and the blockchain. Nations rely on monetary dictatorship to keep citizens in line. They use the threat of being cut off financially as a way to keep you in line. By adopting crypto currencies, a region or community can break away from a Nation State and use the independent crypto currency to survive. This new option of the block chain and crypto currencies will enable greater freedom to secede. This option has put fear into the hearts of the corrupt carrier politician.
The days are coming to an end when endless reckless spending will be able to continue by the governments. People are tired of loosing their savings and living a life of debt and servitude. The new digital, transparent, decentralized, block chain technology will give people options that never before have been available.
I say interesting times are ahead of us all. I believe, that the more each of us learn and understand the benefits of the block chain and crypto currencies, the better off we will be. If we can get entire communities or countries to understand crypto currencies, than perhaps the sooner we can get rid of the global banker tyranny that we are all under.

Good point. What about California? I like the USA because the states are so sovereign. I am watching Designated Survivor at the moment and it is giving me some insight into the politics of the USA.
The United States should never have such a large and powerful Federal Government. The States were meant to have more sovereignty than the Federal Government. Tensions are high in the U.S.A. I feel some states will want to break away and become independent. The Federal Government would act like the National Spanish police and become violent towards the citizens.
Interesting perspective. What do you think is going to happen in California?
California is financially a mess. I think several states would like to secede California being one of them. The United States is really too large to be one country. One size fits all approach does not work. As far as the citizens and the thinking, the U.S. should be at least six separate countries maybe more. I never have agreed with the mindset of California, I am more central America minded in my values and thinking.
Why do you think California is in such a mess?
The state is bankrupt. CALPERS is broke, it is their state pension fund
How did that happen? So they can't pay their members?
Government over spending and illegal immigration receiving free benefits that drained the states treasury
I can see U.S. states like Hawaii, Alaska breakaway, especially because of native people that live in both states.
As well culturally, I can see Texas (along with the South of U.S. break away).
Elsewhere, Catalonia's situation would give rise to places like Scotland, Palestine, Taiwan, etc. to renew their sense of independence.
Time will tell what will happen.
I agree, I think this will be a global trend. It will be interesting to see how National Governments react (if they will allow it or send in police/troops to stop it).
