The Duterte Revolution by Jose AlejandrinosteemCreated with Sketch.

The social media is revolutionizing the thinking of Filipinos. Thanks to netizens it made the election of Rodrigo Duterte to the presidency possible.

Unlike many of our political leaders, past and present, Duterte has no colonial mentality. Unlike many of them, he saw the wind of change. The people elected him on that platform. His rivals lost because they were out of touch with the new reality.

The old guard of politicians are caught in a time warp. They look back to the days of doing things the old ways. Unable to change, they will be marginalized. This is what history teaches us. If there is one thing constant, it is change.

As the country transits to a new constitutional order, as our people are better informed and educated through the social media, as a younger generation of Filipinos enter the main political stream, I am confident we can build a new nation under God, a nation of renewed values that can catapult us to peace and prosperity.

This I hope will be the legacy of Rodrigo Duterte. But for it to happen, we need to give him the tools with which to accomplish the job. We need to give him extraordinary powers to solve extraordinary problems. What was the point of electing him to undertake change if we deny him the tools?

Tomorrow, Sunday, April 2, the moment of truth has come. We have to make a choice whether we trust him or not. We have to choose whether to move in a different direction or to stay on the same path. The numbers will tell. Once the people have decided, assuming in favor of Rodrigo Duterte, it will be up to the president how he means to use what was given to him.

I have made my choice. I have decided to move forward and I hope and pray millions of Filipinos will, too. The fate of our country depends on the fate of the Duterte Revolution. They will either rise or fall together.

Please share to all.

The Filipinos support the President and he willl get the powers as he needs it.

Not very easily. The opposition is still strong ant their cronies.

Was just watching a video by Asian Boss in Youtube about what the filipinos think of President Duterte and most of them were pro. The main host was surprised about the correspondent's interview.

Can you post it in your wall? You see, the international community only know of President Duterte from what the opposition have made him to be. they don't know the real score. let's educate them. thanks in advance.
i have been tagging my post with #politics #philippines #presidentduterte #anarchy
