Are Gun policies really the culprit in Mass Shootings?

You've probably heard of the line, guns don't shoot people, it's the person holding the gun, but does that still ring true? There are more mass shootings in the United states than the world combined.

It also has the most lax gun laws.

But is that the culprit?

With the recent shooting in Las Vegas Nevada, one is prompted to ask, What has become of America? 58 dead, hundreds wounded and The body count is rising. Those are blood in the hands of one lone man who decides to go GTA on everyone.

Las Vegas has the most lax gun laws in the Country, you can buy an automatic, a MACHINE GUN and you don't even need a permit. You can open fire in public any time you want, and you can even buy rifles and large caliber guns that are banned in other states.

Which begs the question, is the law at fault?

My answer is Yes and No. I'll keep this short fellow steemian.

Yes because, let's face it, no permits? Large caliber guns? who are you going to protect yourself from? ISIS? The right to protect yourself is thrown out of the window with large caliber, automatic guns without permits. There are laws that you can change while still remaining true to the 2nd amendment, and while America must be strict in it's Gun policy, it isn't entirely helpful to choke it.

No, because guns will always be there. Crazy individuals, determined ones will always find a way. Stricter gun laws on a country as big as America, Who owns one of the longest borders in the world, will find a way to smuggle guns inside. You can smuggle immigrants? how about guns that fit on a bag.

Cut down the supply and you'll only encourage illegal arms, arms that aren't taxed.

Strict gun laws worked in Australia because they can tighten their island nation into a lock down. It worked in the UK because again, it's an Island nation with a culture that supports it.
