RE: Why shouldn't americans be allowed into Area 51? I mean, they pay for it
Steemmonsters is mobile-ready for a while now, but it hasn't been picked up any further. The real barrier is signing up on steem.
Steemmonsters doesn't have a mobile version yet.
Signing up on Steem can be a pain.
The website has been upgraded to become mobile-ready.
This is the only major problem the blockchain actually has and noone is trying to fix it.
True but an actual mobile version hasn't been created yet for SM. The devs are still working on it.
I wouldn't say only .... .. trying to make users pay (RC) to interact is a big problem. Steemit and the sites like it onchain are social media sites (even if some don't want to admit it) and the masses aren't going to come here and pay money to do things they usually do for free elsewhere.
Pay to play model only works if you have enough players to sustain the loss of player base/ members that will leave after trying to make everyone pay. We need more users and less RC restrictions.
An app is not necessary if the website is mobile-ready. There are steemians who play from their phones. Mobile access did nothing spetacular for sm. Mobile access did nothing spetacular for @super8ballclub.
Because difficulty in registration is the only problem.
We have those. There are plenty of high SP users not using their RC.
SM can be played on mobile but that is not the same as having a mobile version. There is some major draw backs to playing on mobile currently. One of them is we are not able to swap around our monster picks when choosing them for battle. Meaning if you pick your team and have 1 MANA left and are forced to use Creeping Ooze or nothing, if on mobile your only choices would be put it in last position or remove your current chosen team and start your picks over again. This can be a big problem in a time limit game.
I have no clue what super3ballclub is so if they been around awhile I would say marketing was one of their draw backs as I been on Steem for 2 + years and haven't heard of them.
I disagree and I think many others would too. I pointed out two others, mobile version would help and RC simply just sucks.
Maybe they never felt the need to market themselves that much. They were doing fine within steem back then. I guess it's because they had an actual business plan (show ads, like partiko) instead of just leeching through the reward pool like everything else on the platform.
That does sound shitty.
They didn't include RC delegations on the latest hardfork because the dev team is stupid when picking priorities.
