Eventually the most outspoken of the commentariat will be politically illiterate.

A disturbing epiphenomenon of the pervasive anti-Trump and anti-Russian hysteria is that for so many people—especially millennials but also older than that—the first time that they will read a book about politics it will either have been 'What Happened' by Hillary Clinton or will be 'Fire & Fury' by Michael Wolff. Both overwhelmingly subjective, the former being a list of excuses to free a supercilious psychopathic criminal from the responsibility she refused to take for losing an election, the latter being a sensationalist pile of garbage that is littered with inaccuracies and has a sales pitch direct from the author of:

'If It Rings True, It Is True.'

In both cases the reader will not have engaged in any critical thinking about political theory, systems of power, capitalism, the corporate state, neo-colonialist exploitation and neo-imperial military power etc. They will only have succeeded in, and therefore continue to succeed in, perpetuating a confirmation bias and maintaining and spreading a distorted picture of the world.
