View from the Caribbean: The UK and Brexit

in #politics7 years ago

The UK finds itself in a unique situation, a position many would see as strength and others as weakness. At times the market has given its full support with stocks and the GBP skyrocketing and at other times the market has has been brutal giving a resounding "No". I continue to hold the belief that there are many surprises ahead for Prime Minister May, for me she needs to take a serious look at the alarming evidence just outside her window, namely the Dutch election and the just concluded first round of the French election. One needs to take a closer look at what has happen and what is currently taking place. I like to propose a phenomenon called the "Scheme of Control" that has been lost its sting lately. The scheme is very simple, replace "terrorism" with "immigration". Sadly this scheme has taken root in the UK but other European countries has shaken off this cancer. If we take a closer look at our media houses one can clearly see how alarming this trend has been, every act of violence has been label immigration out of control and the need to control the borders. At times its even laughable, even when these extremist has no correlation, the craftiness if the scheme plays well with the masses. There is much more about the "Scheme of Control" I would highlight in later post, I would draw from references dating back to 2001, 2003 and continuing presently. For now, Prime Minister May must play her cards carefully, the scheme of control train is facing some serious headwinds and trying to jump on could be perilous. I am very concern because politicians seem to be endorsing these agendas without understanding the hands behind it. For now the European Union has survived round 1 but survival now does not guarantee its future. Its quite evident that cloak of bureaucracy has to be lifted and the union has to connect and reflect its citizens. These changes must be pursued aggressively, any sign of weakness and business as usual would have serious consequences for its future. I see turbulence ahead, these sporadic acts of violence can reach unprecedented levels as the scheme tries to make their correlation clearer and drive the masses in their direction. Prime Minister May and the people of the United Kingdom must decide the future that they want but they should be aware of this phenomenon. In my later post, I would continue my analysis of the UK and the events influencing its direction. Presently I hold the belief, that the EU needs reform, drastic changes and the UK has fallen victim of the "Scheme of Control".
