South Korean shadow government uncovered - country-wide protests
In case you haven't heard there are country-wide protests occurring in South Korea stemming from a classified email link that essentially implicated the whole government as being illegitimate.
The President of Korea is being called to resign after everyone found out their government was completely being ran by a third party which used nonprofits to cover up fraud.
This whole story is not being covered well - media blackouts again.

This post is interesting.
I had the opportunity to talk to some young South Korean tourists in Switzerland this year. This gave me some insight into the Korean people, which suffered a lot during the 20th century. To me their story is one of the saddest in the younger human history:
1st they suffered from unhuman conditions under the Japanese occupation,
2nd the people was divided by the Allies USA and USSR after WW2,
3rd the division did not at all provide a peaceful situation and the Korean people went to war against each other.
I wish the Koreans a reunification, but as one can see the situation at the moment, it would be both financially and ideologically a giant problem for the South Koreans. The North Koreans are brainwashed to a large extent in the third generation, a situation which becomes more severe with time.
