«The money were everywhere on the street»

Shortly after midnight, there was a robbery in the canton of Waadt(switzerland). The drivers of a money-carrier were threatened with weapons and the vehicle was subsequently burned down.

During the night on Thursday, a money-carrier was attacked in Mont-sur-Lausanne, VD. Shortly after midnight, unknown people forced several cars to stop the car of a transport company and pushed the drivers out of the driver's cab at gunpoint. How many robbers were involved in the robbery is still unknown, as reported by the cantonal police in Waadt(Switzerland).

While some of the perpetrators continued to threaten the transporters, others managed to break open the van's doors and grab some of the cargo. Then they set fire to the vehicle to destroy any traces.

"The money were just scattered all over the street". However, the Police can not say what amount it was about. "The police cordoned off everything, you could not get any closer."

Already a year ago, a similar attack had occurred at the same place. Even then, the drivers of a money-carrier were threatened with weapons and the vehicle was subsequently burned.

The perpetrators are still at the run. Most of the transporters escaped without injuries and are mentally cared for. Only one of them has suffered a slight head injury. A search of the investigators is underway. The police asks people who have been watching the incident or have information to report. The perpetrators are probably in a big, bright vehicle on the road.
