SPU Poetry Contest #5: The Alternative
Have I not turned off the computer
and cast aside my qualms
with virtual villains and knocked
on reality's door that slams
close and peeks through a screen
another? reality! what a scam!
Have I not encountered the facade
of faces in a tug of trophy
conjuring up self righteous details
in a retelling of boorish baloney
sneaking a duping delight when
eyes escape? Real is just too phony.
Great poem...makes the world feel a little more empty and claustrophobic at the same time...especially like the use of the title =)
