Worked hard all day, twas back in may,
I found a bottle, it went down my drain,
The whiskey shuffle, makes the day,
And here I'm drinking, on top of the lonely train.

Found my guitar, rusty and pale,
Singing the blue song, of a life of vain,
The whiskey shuffle, makes the day,
And here I'm drinking, on top of the lonely train.

Now here we're riding, the bottle and I,
On 69' cruiser as we say goodbye,
The whiskey shuffle, makes the ryhtm,
Still drinking a bottle, on top of the lonely ride.
