Poetic Short Story: The Old Gentleman
Heya, fellow steemians and otakus! It's me again, @yuki-nee for another [Poetic Short Story] titled, "The Helpless Leaf"
Under a large, sturdy tree,
stood an old gentleman looking free.
The old gentleman's there to watch the sun,
as it set for the day after a long day of fun.
Coloring the darkening sky
is the fiery hue of wordless sigh.
Then a breeze of wind blows,
as it caresses the grasses in rows.
The old gentleman stood there in silence,
as if listening to the song of a siren.
Before long the sun is seen no more,
yet the old gentleman stood still like a core.
He knows tomorrow the sun will rise again,
and so tomorrow he too will come again.
