Storm Chasing - Poetry
Release and
Let
It
Go
The pain,
The fear,
The undertow.
It will alter, change in shape
That which left your wound agape.
You feel now a caustic fury
Hands beseeching, eyes teared blurry.
Through this path you must embark,
Treat this as an ocean journey
Spirit tucked and anchor sturdy.
Storms may pelt with blinding rain
Urging you to rise again.
Put your hand on to the oar
Ever reaching to the shore.
Please
Hold on,
Don't
Let
Go
There is strength enough to cope.
It comes draped in this word-
Hope
