Day 47 - The Value of Life

The fear that turns good men bad
That makes murderers of protectors
That creates paranoia from sanity
It starts like a parasite infecting the mind
Slowly spreading gripping the heart
Seeping through the blood into muscle

It preys on the weak not forgetting strong
It squeezes prayers from the unreligious
It breathes life into the imagination
As it shrivels substance out of reality
The one force soft and mighty enough
To unite enemies and turn allies
With tentacles like roots taking hold
Wrapping effectively teaching the snake
