The crack in his face
The snide in the floor
Effortless swipe of a mace
Oozing riches to turn poor

First comes the fright
Followed by silence blatant
Then comes speechlessness bright

All the while in shock
In a state of disbelief
His mind behind a lock
With no control like a leaf
