POEM: Tumble
Through the fray
Of the infrared
Strokes the steps
Sift the dew
I sip the new
Hour, flanked
My the sun and moon
My heart hopes
Like a fall leaf
Clings to wind
On this side
I beg for joy
And grace
———
Prisoner of wind
That wafts my friends
To far away places
The bunsen burns
As my eyes turn
White from these new faces
As I loath being left
I cling to the mirth
Crumbs shifting
Palm craters collect
As I resurrect
A new breath
