POEM: BIAS
The weight of the ways
Of white hair and wine
The tare of the tremor
Between your hand and mind
The bias you brag
From your confident throat
The strange seduction
Of silence and strength
The change in clamoring
Chirping cheetahs
Who rest from runs
To prey or protect
Your words wander
Leaving your lips
With speed they sink
Their fangs into fibs
