Raindrops and Ghosts
Now it happened like this
I was a tear in your eye
rolling down your pale face
Like raindrops on glass
Melancholy nature;
A photographer’s dream
But nothing is quite
Like it seems
If I saw your true thoughts
it might break me straight through
But maybe they aren’t what I think
perhaps this Illusion is real
Would you hate me too much
If I wandered away
back to some place where my
sadness feels safe?
Also, I was thinking,
A tree now could kill me
If Mr. Wind was a jackass
And Mrs. Tree was bored
“Hey, Tree..
wanna play murder with me?”
“Indeed.”
Well, damn.
But, hey
Now I can be a real ghost
And I can turn your lights off
And then hide in your closet
And pretend I’m not blue
Guess I’ll try on your shoes
As I wait for more clues
While I give you some, too.
