Beyond the Words
Words fall down onto the paper
where they teach me how to see
that other world beyond the pencil
where my woes begin to flee
If I could live inside the letters
chase the lyrics to the end
of all these thoughts and all these reasons
used to justify my sins
I dared to be the sunshine
in a darkened, ruthless sky
I should have known me better
damn the moon, she steals my light
Dear, breathe with me at sunset
when my heart begins to dream
chase these demons down to Hell with me
and listen to the night speak

Oh, the rhythm just flows! A lovely poem. I think I actually read it just listening to the sounds of the words and not even paying attention to what the words were themselves. But they're good too ;)
I figured there was a poet in there somewhere with all of your songs. :)
