THY STING - A Poem
On every shoulder
Hangs thy sting.
Our dearest life
A journey towards it.
Sad or joyful
We close in every moment.
For one day
We would bow to thy sting.
The day and time
Is unknown to everyman.
The place and where
We simply cannot tell.
For thy sting comes
Without notice or warning.
And with no regards
To the life being stung.
Our hearts are heavier
If the life is young.
Our thoughts are; Why?
We ask the Almighty One.
But who are we to ask
If he takes the life he gave.
So we quietly morn
And bury our lost love.
Wishing them safe passage
to the world beyond our realm.
And holding their memories
Like treasures in our hearts.
In memory of the dead and to the awakening of the living.
